Apprentice excursion 2024

This year’s excursion took the group led by trainer Reinhard Berger and Managing Director Thomas Witzmann to the Styrian Erzberg. This is the largest open-cast mine in Central Europe, the most important ore deposit in the Alps, a symbol of industrialization and a central part of the Iron Road. Rock has been mined at the Styrian Erzberg for more than 1300 years. And the hard work of many men and women brought it to its present form from 1890 onwards.

The Langzauner youngsters were also impressed by the huge dimensions and state-of-the-art technology!

However, this day was not only informative, but also sporty and ambitious. The team-building event came to a fun conclusion with a game of bowling at Schmiding’s “Oberndorfer Wirt”.

The only thing left to do is to think about where next year’s excursion will go. Underground again, like the last two times? But the responsible 3rd graders are certainly not running out of ideas!
