Langzauner produces and develops tailor-made presses and automation systems for processing of carbon fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP) in various sizes and configuration levels. All systems and presses are tailored exactly to the needs of the customer.

Carbon fibre reinforced plastic has the strength properties of steel, but is much lighter and corrosion resistant. This is why this lightweight material is being used more and more in the aircraft industry and automotive industry. However, the manufacturing process for CRP components takes longer than with steel components.

With the presses and automation systems from Langzauner, efficient and therefore cost-effective processing of CFRP is possible.
Time-savings loading and unloading is carried out by gripper systems and robots. High pressure accuracy and uniform pressing with pressing forces of up to 5,000 tons result in high-quality components with low tolerances. A parallel control of the press ram prevents an uncontrolled inclination of the upper mold tool and thus enables an even resin injection. Therefore, no different wall thicknesses are produced on the components.
