Description
Pultrusion: the process in detail
The fully automated pultrusion line serves to produce thermoplastic profiles in a continuous process.
This process involves loading pre-impregnated, continuous fibre-reinforced semi-finished products in the tension-controlled unwinder. The individual semi-finished strands are bundled in the preheating tunnel and heated uniformly from all sides. In the subsequent tool, the locking mechanism, they are then merged into one profile under pressure and temperature. After having passed through the cooing line and the haul-off unit that allows for infinitely variable speed control, the cured profiles are cut off by a flying saw.
